Srija to steal thunder from Chiru?

Politics is a murky place where a candidate focuses more on the pitfalls of the opponent than the positives he had. Praja Rajyam founder, Chiru is making baby steps in attacking political rivals starting with YSR on sale of government lands, corruption in projects and SEZs etc.

So far there is no brutal attack on Chiru from prominent leaders except a few nasty comments by ‘chhota mota’ leaders.

Srija, the youngest daughter eloped and married her boy friend made headlines at that time. Will politicians use this incident to attack Chiru in the future? The rivals may argue that the man cannot manage his own family how can he rule the State? Or keep the family off limits and children especially off limits?

Why this double standards, Chiru?

Praja Rajyam party president Chiranjeevi’s blessings for the inter-caste marriage noted Dalit leader Katti Padma Rao’s son the other day received a lot of flak.

The bride is said to be a Kamma girl and it is a love marriage. The girl’s parents, who were dead against this love affair, did not attend the marriage. But, what angered them was Chiranjeevi attending the marriage and blessing the couple. What is more, the megastar welcomed such marriages and even declared that the bride was like his daughter.

They wondered if Chiranjeevi approves of such marriages, why he didn’t show the same magnanimity towards his daughter Srija, who married a Brahmin boy. Does it not amount to double standards? They asked.
